Biotective Folic Aicid 400mcg has the correct dosage of folic acid, suitable for women who are planning to get pregnant. It is ONE of the few in the market that complies 100% with USRDA (United State Recommended Dietary Allowance), RNI (Recommended Nutrient Intakes for Malaysia 2017), CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).
Women who plan to get pregnant are encouraged to consume an extra 400mcg of folic acid daily, 3 months prior to conception. With just 1 tablet of Biotective Folic Acid, it helps to reduce the risk of neural tube defects (NTD) in an unborn child. NTD affects the fetus’ brain and spinal cord.
NTD normally occurs 3-4 weeks after conception; before you even know that you are pregnant. So that’s why its important that you take Biotective Folic Acid before and during the first few weeks of pregnancy.
Experts recommend taking 400 mcg of folic acid daily. Too little and you may not get sufficient folic acid, too much and you risk masking other nutrient deficiencies.
