Alpro Pharmacy Expands To Indonesia With ‘Apotek Alpro’

Alpro Pharmacy, Malaysia’s largest prescription pharmacy chain, has entered the Indonesian market with the launch of Apotek Alpro. With over 200 outlets across the Jakarta Metropolitan Area, the expansion aims to enhance healthcare access and medication safety in the region.
Chief Executive Officer of Alpro Pharmacy, Ph. Low Swee Siong, stated, “Over the past 20 years, we have proudly served more than 3.6 million families in Malaysia by providing genuine medications and championing medication safety through professional services.
This expansion marks a significant milestone as we bring the expertise and high standards of pharmacy care that Alpro is known for to the communities in Indonesia.”
Leading Apotek Alpro is Chief Executive Officer Ph. Lee Yin Chen, supported by a leadership team from Malaysia and Indonesia, including Chief Operating Officer Ph. Lee Wei Phang, Chief Revenue Officer Ph. Teo Ying Hui, Chief Strategic Officer Ph. Khoo Zi Yu, and Chief Category Officer Ph. Rupa Lesty.

Apotek Alpro also offers innovative services, including medication delivery as fast as 30 minutes and online consultations via WhatsApp. By 2025, the company aims to serve over 30,000 customers daily.
Additionally, Alpro Pharmacy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 22 Indonesian universities and the Asosiasi Perguruan Tinggi Farmasi Muhammadiyah Aisyiyah (APTFMA) to enhance pharmacy education and address pharmacist distribution disparities.
